M13

M13, a globular star cluster in the Constellation Hercules. One of the most prominent known globular clusters of the Northern Celestial Hemisphere. At a distance of ~25,100 light years, its visual angular diameter of 20' corresponds to a actual linear diameter of ~145 light years. It contains several 100,000 stars and is believed to be over 12 billion years old.
